Rates
Translation Rates: Average £50 per 1000 words (negotiable). Minimum £15.
Proofreading Rates: Average £20 per 1000 words (negotiable). Minimum £10.
Interpretation Rates: £20 per hour plus travel expenses and travel time at £10 per hour.
 
Education MA in English Philology (1998), Veliko Tarnovo University, Bulgaria.
Specialisation Course: English/Bulgarian and Bulgarian/English Translation (1997-1998) at the same university.

Work Experience
2004 - Returned to UK. Working as a freelance translator and administrative assistant.
2003 Returned to Bulgaria, where I worked as a freelance translator of English/Bulgarian for various agencies. I did translations in the area of business letters, advertisement texts, medical letters and summary notes, and a considerable volume from a manual of quality management in the area of health and safety, as well as various menus and presentation sheets. Also, technical texts in the area of oil rig platform construction, food export offers, job application documents, diplomas of higher education, course certificates, identity cards, menus, medical letters (referral, diagnosis), letters of complaint, attorney letters.
Freelance subtitling and proofreading for SDI Media and Softitler agencies.
2001-2002 Moved to London where I work as a freelance translator and tutor of English as a Foreign Language. Freelancer for the Refugee Legal Centre, London.
2000-2001 Worked as a translator of English/ Bulgarian for Steady Translation Agency, Asenovgrad, Bulgaria.
1999 Freelance translator of fiction and miscellaneous texts.
1998 Translated a project in the sphere of arts criticism for a group of Bulgarian avant-garde artists, the Hermes Resonance ArtGroup, based in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.
