Get Firefox
If you don't already have it, do the Web a favour and start using the Firefox browser. It loads faster and is more secure than Internet Explorer. On top of this, it displays content according to agreed international standards and therefore helps advance the web by breaking Microsofts stranglehold on the Web. Internet Explorer hasn't been updated in over 4 years and is now actively hindering the development of the Net. Therefore if you are still surfing the web using IE, it is like getting round in a Ford Escort when everybody else owns a Ferrari. Sure, you might get there, but it's not nearly as much fun.
Welcome!
Thank you for visiting my homepage. I hope you enjoy visiting this site. If you have any comments or would like more info about something feel free to contact me at rmassart@yahoo.com.
Most of this site is about travelling, for which there are the three sections described below. There is also a section about Bulgaria, a country I moved to at the beginning of 2003. For a bit of light entertainment, you can play an HTML version of the logic game sokoban. On other pages you will also find information on the London borough of Camden, a brief look at the mathematical value of Pi and some interesting Links.
Travel
The section about travel is split into three parts. Firstly there is a general section on Backpacking, which contains information on preparing to go backpacking. It is based purely on my own experience during my 7 month Round-The-World (RTW) trip. You will find help on what to pack, how to prepare, who to go with and why to go in the first place. You will also find a complete copy of my diary that I wrote whilst away.
For photos and a more interesting way of following my journey check out the second part. It is far less detailed than my diary, but more fun to read and contains some nice photos.
Finally, there are a few pages on other places I have visited, such as Spain, Italy and Prague.
Bulgaria
The section on Bulgaria is dedicated to my experiences whilst living in Bulgaria. I moved here at the beginning of 2003 and have made some interesting experiences since then, mainly good ones, but also some not so good ones. For more information check out this section.
About the site
If you wish to find out more about how I developed this site have a look at my Site Design and Site History sections. If you're interested in the web in general you will find some brief articles I have written giving my view on the web and its technologies here.
And Finally...
If you want to know who I am then go here, although admittedly I have not written much about myself (and I really ought to find a more up-to-date photo of myself!). If, after this, you still want to find out more about me or have any comments, then drop me a line. On the otherhand, it would be great to find out more about you, so please sign my Guestbook, it will only take a couple of minutes.
